About Us

Soccer Player´s Portal was created in 2007, under the name of Soccer e-agent, by the full stack web designer Jorge Mauricio. Initially, the goal was to allow football managers to include their players’ records, along with uploading videos and photos, and to send the players' link to those interested in negotiating the sale, loan or transfer of players, in a friendly and instantaneous way. Until that moment, businessmen made copies of DVDs and sent them by mail, nationally and internationally. The focus was on the international demand. The initial version was designed and developed in English to have a better understanding among those involved in the transactions.

The great advantage was the availability of full game by the athletes, in addition to compiled videos with the best moments. All converted with good quality. YouTube was starting to emerge at the time, but it had one major limitation. The videos were of low quality and allowed only up to 5 minutes of recording. It was a good deal for both sides and the managers found the monthly fee to be very attractive. An average of R$ 100,00 ($ 60.00) / month, and they used to spent around R$ 60,00 ($ 35.00) for each DVD delivery.
Portal´s first version.
The idea was very well appreciated by the users. Soon, the demand for a Portuguese version became urgent, as it was used more intensively in the national market. It was developed under the name Portal dos Players (Player´s Portal) for the Portuguese version, which soon ended up completely replacing the previous name, because of the easier name to handle.

With the sale of YouTube to Google, the main functionality for displaying high-quality videos was losing its attractiveness due to the charge, which was proportional to the amount of videos made available. This situation resulted in the need for the portal to undergo its first graphic and structural redesign, in 2010. At the same time, Jorge Mauricio was completing the first version of a framework for the development of websites, platforms and portals, called Sistema Dinâmico (Dynamic System).

The restructuring consisted of a graphic update for new dimensions that had been used in browsers, integration with YouTube videos and the removal of monthly fees for greater user adhesion, as the focus of monetization would be on AdSense. In addition, the framework was used as a first implementation test to better organize the logics used by the portal.

For some years, the Portal was left to operate autonomously, as it contained a registration cycle that allowed it to function without monitoring. This period served to observe if some competitors would appear in the same line of action and to see what other concepts could be incorporated for a new redesign.

Surprisingly, no platform of considerable scope was created to cover the demand for interactivity between agents / manages and players. Another unexpected discovery was that, over the period of more than 8 years without any type of update, the portal continued to receive new users. These more than 1400 registers used the control panel to display their information and submit their profiles.

After analyzing this gap, the company Planejamento Visual – Arte e Tecnologia, founded by Jorge Mauricio, decided to invest in yet another structural and visual reconstruction.

This time, the idea would be to improve the existing features, incorporate the concept of social network for this specific niche, adapt to mobile devices, make available again an international version with the friendliest name called Soccer Player’s Portal, introduce a market place for trading products related to the area and introduce another type of user - the club - to allow try outs to be displayed, targeted to new talents.

The redesign was made with an updated version of the old development framework. After some years in use, in projects of the most varied types and purpose, it was consolidated with the name of SyncSystem, which became the main development tool of Planejamento Visual. Sistema Dinâmico became another product of the company, aimed at providing flexible hosting services.

Monetization models have also been rethought. We preserve the essence of free register, which is essential for the popularization of web platforms. We maintained the partnership with AdSence and created a low cost subscription option for additional features that do not interfere with the intense interactivity on the portal and help to maintain and improve resources.

We hope that the new features will please users and enable us to grow, including other sports segments. We have some new implementations planned, such as CRM functionalities for more intense management of players, and registration of statistics, among others. But we prefer to wait for some performance indicators for the new version of the portal to make strategic decisions.

Have fun and success on your business contacts.
